Our client, a Local Government Organisations in the Perth North Metropolitan region, is currently recruiting a Management Accountant. This is a temporary short term contract until the end of October 2020. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Services, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the budget framework and management accounting services, in accordance with relevant policies and accounting standards.Position Responsibilities  Supports the Manager Financial Services in the planning, strategic management and development of the Financial Services Branch. Leads the development and management for the budget and resource allocation process. Undertakes complex financial analysis and provides specialist advice and/or support in relation to budgeting, resource allocation and financial matters.Assesses and reviews budget and forecasts and provides advice and briefings to ELT and CEO as required.Provides specialist advice and/or support for major projects. Develops models and processes to use in budget forecasts, cash management and other management of financial resources. Provides timely and accurate reporting and advice appropriate to business needs, including monthly reporting and ad-hoc analysis and reporting.Advises business units on City financial initiatives and the development of financial strategies to optimise the use of financial resources and ensure effective performance.Capabilities and Competencies Supervision of team: Works cooperatively and effectively with others to achieve common goals.
