Our client a Local Government organisation in the North Eastern Metropolitan area is currently recruiting a Human Resources Coordinator. The role is to develop and implement contemporary Human Resource practices focused on workforce capability.  Coordinating a small team of professionals this role ensures the effective delivery of human resource services to line leaders and employees.This role is responsible for the HR business partners who have dedicated portfolios and work with City leaders with end-to-end workforce management including employee relations, organisational design, policy and procedural interpretation and effective management of data and systems.  As a customer centric organisation, HR is often the first point of contact with external parties and therefore it is important to ensure a favourable first impression.This role also provides high level support to the Manager People, Culture & Safety, including reviews and revision of City plans, projects and policies.To be successful in this role you will have worked within the business partnering model and have demonstrated experience of established true partnering relationships with key leaders supporting and providing guidance on all matters relating to people. You will also be motivated to engage and lead a high performing team with excellent communication skills to influence and negotiate as required.In line with our values we encourage curiosity and we are interested in a person who can make a difference as an individual but also agile enough to work across the breadth of organisation within a small team environment.We are looking for someone who has the ability to connect well with people, thrives in a fast-paced and ever changing working environment but still has the capability to meet competing deadlines.Sound knowledge of employee relations legislation and application in a government setting would be advantageous. You will have a degree in HR or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in similar roles.You will love working at the City because we believe our people are our number one resource and we are privileged to be able to work with our community to make it a better city environment.  There is a competitive salary of $92,225 per annum (pro-rata), plus super.
